 Low Impact Movement Connecting Moves - Move your body and awaken your brain, with Barbara Rose of the Rose Wellness Network. Monday July 19, 26th and August 9, 16, 23, 30th.(no class August 2nd)

DansKinetics – this is a fun and dynamic movement class, different from what you’ve probably experienced in any club or dance classroom in the past. The movements are an integration of the principles of tai chi, yoga, modern dance, African dance, and weaved under the philosophy of The School for Body Mind Centering. You will move to music from around the globe that is motivating and you will be inspired to move in different ways, such that the results are an integrated mind, body, and spirit because, all in all, you are having fun moving your body.

  • Cardiovascular fitness
  • Release of pain and stiffness
  • Eased mental/emotional tensions
  • A greater positive body awareness
  • You will be comfortable and confident in your body

Pilates – this is a conditioning class that concentrates on core strengthening of the deep intrinsic muscles that support your bones in standing up and moving. You will gain postural awareness and body control like no other class that you have ever taken before.

Results:

  • Strengthens and tones muscles
  • Improves posture
  • Provides flexibility and balance
  • Unites body and mind
  • Creates streamlined body shape


Aerial Dance classesAerial dance is at the forefront of modern dance right now as the possibility of using 3-D space, is becoming the new frontier. It is the attempt to defy gravity that intrigues us and keeps us coming back.

Learn aerial dance for several apparatuses:

  • Silks
  • Spanish web
  • Static trapeze

Opportunities include:

  • Individual and group classes ($50/hr for private lessons, $15/hr for group, or package of 6 $75. Student discounts available. All skill levels are welcome.)
