November First Friday!

November, 4th, 2011

Photography by Ashley Overton

Come out for First Friday. Wine, Music, and Art from 6:00pm – 9:00pm

“Make Haste Slowly”, is an experimentation in natural light and the way it manipulates an image. I took these photos on the roof of my building as the sun went down. I find a lot of beauty in a naturally lit image. The way the sun can change the color of hair or skin or a garment, and the way light can affect the contrast of a black and white photograph.”

The Songbirds will be performing, and will be a beautiful accompaniment to the work

October First Friday – October 7th!

Photographer Molly Harrell invites you to join her for First Friday, at URBhana, 115 Gay St, Knoxville, TN, to attend her photography show opening “The Nudes”. This recent collection of nudes, photographed over a period of several months, will be on display thru October 31.  A graduate of The University of Tennessee 1986, and The Art Institute of Atlanta 2002, Molly currently resides in Columbia, SC, as a commercial photographer specializing in portraits. Her fascination with the beauty of the human body has led to a continued love of photographing people in the nude.

For this show, Molly works primarily with black and white images. A mix of framed works, images printed on canvas, and mixed media will be featured.
